Piece of choice - work on draft - Students picked a piece of writing that has already been started in their writing folders to complete, revise, edit and pass in. This is meant to be their best work. students should work along with the class and complete the related assignment each evening. I will be looking for proof of revision and the mark they recieve will reflect the work done and use of strategies we discussed in class. Your child should read their piece out loud to someone each evening after they worked on it. You can help by having them reread sections that don't sound right or are unclear. It also helps if you tell them what your seeing as they read.
letter to Santa students may work on this but it should be left till last and only worked on if time permits. This is not homework. Students should have more that enough time to work on this in class.
